• The shop has been wildly busy. After a focused 12 hour day, yesterday, and a flurry of work today, it sure feels great to put up my feet and forget, for a moment, the heap of work still needing to be done. #thanksforallthefish

• #math wins again! Tried a new technique for designing a mandolin bridge today. I tuned up this instrument and set the bridge in the proper location for just one string at a time to achieve perfect intonation and recorded the string length. After noting the measurements down, I calculated the mean distance and plotted each string’s variance from the mean giving me an accurate number model of how the bridge contours would need to be set. Theory to real world result = just right. Fun!
