- I credit running my own business for many things. One of my practices is taking stock. It’s so easy to just keep doing things the way you’ve been doing them simply because that’s the way you always do them. Sometimes this is not problematic, but often it keeps a person stuck and stops them seeing a whole new possibility. So, I try to take stock of how I run a business, how I do a refret, how I sharpen a tool. Sometimes I’m given the opportunity to restart at square one and build a better way. So, I try not to fret! #refretday
- I use #waterstones for the bulk of my sharpening, and even resort to a @tormek_sharpening station for reconditioning damaged tools – which I often pickup at garage sales and junk stores. This morning, putting a quick edge on a few tools for the day using this trusty ceramic stone I’ve had for more than 20 years, and a strop I made when I started Rosewood in 2003.
